Young goalkeeper could be on the move.
Young Norwegian goalkeeper Kjetil Haug could be on the move after his club Sarpsborg 08 revealed that they have received a ‘serious offer’ for his services, the Daily Star reports.
Manchester United, City, Arsenal and Everton had all been credited with an interest in the 15-year-old and the Old Trafford outfit even handed him a two week trial last month.
Haug has expressed a desire to play for any of the bigger English clubs, and as well as linking up with United for a short while he was also thought to be scheduled to spend time with the Gunners, Toffees and the Citizens before the year’s end.
“I talked a lot with Anders Lindegaard. He gave me lots of good advice about a possible transfer,” he said.
And now the Norwegian minnows have confirmed that they have received a very serious offer for the boy, but stopped short at revealing who exactly made the bid.
Club representative Bjoerge Aaiestad told Sarpsborg Arbeiderblad: “We have got a serious offer for Kjetil and we have been informed that another offer will come from another club.
“What we would like to do is to enter into serious negotiations regarding a transfer of Kjetil.
“Due to respect for the clubs, we do not want to comment on names or whether it is a club Kjetil has visited.”
