Everton right back set for Old Trafford switch.
Manchester United are set to beat Arsenal to the signing of £15m-rated Everton star Seamus Coleman, according to the Daily Mirror.
Beleaguered Old Trafford boss David Moyes wants to sign his former charge this summer and has been given the green light from the club’s board.
Arsenal are also interested in the 25-year-old right back but United officials are confident of beating their rivals to Coleman, who has scored six goals in 26 Premier League appearances in a brilliant campaign for the Toffees.
Moyes is reportedly unconvinced by United’s currently first choice right back Rafael, and sees versatile England duo Chris Smalling and Phil Jones as centre halves.
Coleman would be the second Everton player to follow Moyes to United, after Marouane Fellaini joined the Red Devils in a £27.5m deal from Goodison Park last summer.
England left back Leighton Baines was also a target of the Scot but he signed a new deal at Everton earlier in the season.
