Check in to Arsenal vs Hull City

Hull City boss Steve Bruce is considering a move to offer out of contract Man United man Rio Ferdinand the chance to continue his Premier League playing career at the KC Stadium according to the Daily Mail.

The 35 year old will see his Old Trafford deal expire in a matter of days and no new deal is in the offing and the former Man United skipper has no intention of retiring so a move to Hull City may tempt the veteran centre-back.

Bruce has publicly confirmed his interest stating;

‘We’ve cast an eye on a few things. I haven’t looked into that yet, because the news only broke last night. Rio has been a wonderful player. Who knows? If he fancies a game…

‘We’ve got Arsenal at Wembley on Saturday, so let me get over the weekend first, then I’ll see if we’ll give him a call.’

Ferdinand is also said to have offers from a number of MLS outfits as well as from some Chinese Super League clubs but could well prefer to remain in Europe.

Man United look set to say goodbye to a trio of defensive options this summer with Nemanja Vidic having already secured a move to Inter Milan and left-back Patrice Evra looking set for pastures new.
