Could Muller and Hummels arrive at old Trafford…?
Dutch reporter Arno Vermeulen, who works for NOS, the equivalent of the BBC in Holland, has predicted the players Louis van Gaal will sign for Manchester United this summer.
Vermeulen reckons United will go all out to support their new Dutch boss, and will sign at least five players for the starting XI.
The prediction claims that Southampton wonderkid Luke Shaw will first arrive to replace Patrice Evra, whose contract is expiring, on the left of the defence.
Superstar Borussia Dortmund centre-back will come in and play alongside young Englishman Phil Jones, who will have to step up to the plate with Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand leaving.
Little known right-back Daryl Janmaat, who does start for the Dutch national side, will also sign from Feyenoord to compete with Rafael. In midfield, another Dutchman, Kevin Strootman, will arrive to anchor the ultra attacking side.
Bayern Munich superstar Thomas Muller could play from the right, with wonderkid Adnan Januzaj on the other flank, and Juan Mata continuing in the pivotal no.10 role – behind world-class strike pairing Wayne Rooney and Robin van Persie.
Surely, surely, van Gaal would have more sense than to deploy such an attacking side, with so little numbers or shape in central midfield…?
