The 25 year old is one of a host of players Louis van Gaal is looking to cash-in on this summer and is already the subject of interest from Hull City.
The England man became something of a scapegoat for the failings under former boss David Moyes and with just a year to run on his current deal the Old Trafford side would do well to make something from his sale this summer to avoid losing the player on a free transfer.
Cleverley showed glimpses of real quality when he first broke into the Man United first team set-up but has been largely ineffective in recent seasons and a move away may prove best for all concerned.
As well as listening to offers for Cleverley Dutch boss van Gaal also wants to find buyers for Javier Hernandez, Danny Welbeck and Shinji Kagawa.
