The striker could line-up alongside Radamel Falcao at the weekend.
Robin Van Persie has revealed that he is excited at the prospect of playing alongside Manchester United’s new signings, the Daily Star reports.
The Red Devils have spent heavily this summer with manager Louis Van Gaal bringing in Angel Di Maria, Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind, Radamel Falcao and Luke Shaw while players like Danny Welbeck and Javier Hernandez have left the club.
The Dutch strikers response to the likes of Falcao being brought in is a bit of a surprise with some suggesting that he would be put out by the arrival of the Colombian star.
Van Persie said: “I can’t wait to go and train and play with the world class players we have signed – wow!
“For me personally, it’s brilliant to go and play with some of the best players in the world. It’s great that I can go and train and play with them every day.”
Several of United’s new stars could play in the clubs Premier League game against QPR at the weekend with Falcao in contention to start the match while Ander Herrera is back to full fitness after missing his sides last three games.
The 20 time league champions have yet to win a competitive game under Van Gaal but should be confident of breaking their duck against the Hoops.
