Red Devils still hungry for Arturo Vidal…
Manchester United are ready to go back in for Arturo Vidal in January and finally secure the world-class midfielder who was linked for the entirety of the summer transfer window, reports the Daily Star.
The 27-year-old is regarded as one of the best box-to-box midfielders on the planet, and United could bid £35m to tempt Serie A champions Juventus into selling one of their star men.
The Red Devils splashed huge cash in the summer to bring in the likes of Angel di Maria, Ander Herrera, Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind and Radamel Falcao, but most fans and pundits agree that they’re still short in central midfield.
Vidal would provide energy, power and goals from the middle of the park, and shore up one of United’s problem positions.
While fans would be delighted with Vidal signing, top class defenders are surely a priority. Louis van Gaal’s side lost 5-3 away to Leicester City at the weekend, one of their most embarrassing defeats in Premier League memory – and new centre-backs will surely be acquired in the winter window.
