Ex Red-Devils goal machine believes the club were robbed be Arsenal.

Former Manchester United striker Dwight Yorke believes the £16m fee that Arsenal paid for Danny Welbeck is a disgrace after he notched his first career hat trick against Galatasaray in the Champions League on Wednesday, the Daily Mirror reports.

Welbeck left Old Trafford to join the Gunners on transfer deadline day in a deal that left Yorke admittedly stunned.

But what shocked him more than the move itself was the fee that the Gunners reportedly paid for his services, something which Yorke believes was far too low and will only contribute to his rise in north London.

“£16million – that’s a disgrace,” he said, as reported in the Manchester Evening News. “When Lallana and Shaw have gone for £25million and £27million, that’s pathetic.

“That’s why I cannot understand the market. He had to be a loan deal – especially with Falcao not signing permanently.

“You could let Danny Welbeck go on a year’s loan, get some money and have that option. He’s worth more than £16million in today’s market. Shaw and Lallana – they’re worth that much more than Danny Welbeck?

“I don’t think so. Not with his pace and power.
