The former Old Trafford keeper would be interested in bringing in the teenage Belgian to Ajax on a loan deal though the player’s wage expectations could prove problematic.
“Well, if you have the number of his agent: give it me with confidence. But I fear that we can’t pay his salary.”
The 19 year old had a bright campaign last term but has started just one Premier League fixture this season and could perhaps be keen to secure regular first team elsewhere.
A loan move to Ajax could perhaps suit all parties, especially as the summer arrival of Angel di Maria is likely to prevent Januzaj securing more than just a series of cameo displays from the bench.
Januzaj recently signed a new long term Man United contract and is rightly considered one of the hottest prospects in European football.
