The fact that Van Gaal does not see Falcao’s knock as being too serious is important news for United fans, with the Red Devils’ tough run of fixtures continuing next weekend with a local derby against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium.

With Falcao also having missed out on a place in the starting line-up against West Brom on Monday night due to jetlag, United fans will be hoping that they are able to see the best of the prolific Monaco loanee in the near future.

This is what van Gaal had to say about the injury:

“He took a kick in training and couldn’t play, but I don’t think it’s too bad.”
