The Dutch giants hope to persuade the Old Trafford side to loan them teenage sensation Januzaj for 18 months though Man United are unwilling to consider anything beyond a six month deal starting in January.
Former United star, and Ajax director, Edwin van der Sar is keen to bring in the Belgian and may well look to use his contacts within the club to make the move a reality.
The 19 year old did well last term despite Man United’s overall failures but the arrival of Angel di Maria has limited his chances of regular first team action and a move to Amsterdam would offer the winger much needed experience.
Januzaj is rightly considered one of the hottest prospects in European football but without a regular run-out it’s likely his star will fade and a move to the Eredivisie may well be ideal for this juncture in his career.
