The compatriots will meet in the already tension filled Manchester derby on Sunday, where the Manchester United defender will face the tough task of stopping the in form Manchester City striker.
The bad blood can be traced back to this summer’s World Cup competition in Brazil, Rojo allegedly bringing his pop star friend El Polaco into the inner circle with the rest of the squad. This infuriated Aguero, as El Polaco was the ex-partner of the City star’s current girlfriend Karina Tejeda.
With the two meeting on the pitch for the first time on Sunday, we could see tempers flare and some tough tackling from both men.
The feud was only inflamed on Friday when Aguero and Rojo were set to meet in Manchester for a community event. The Manchester City star never arrived however, prompting Rojo to suggest, “He’s scared. Is he worried about the derby? Ha ha. Maybe that is the case. You will have to ask them.”
