Man United Line Up £12m Move For Exciting Attacking Ligue 1 Left Back

United considering move for Monaco star Layvin Kurzawa.

Mancheter United manager Louis van Gaal is lining up a £12 million move for another young left back in the January transfer window, report the Daily Star, perhaps indicating that the Dutchman has not been entirely convinced by the displays of big money summer buy Luke Shaw.

The man in question is France Under 21 international and AS Monaco star Layvin Kurzawa, who has developed a reputation for causing carnage with his pace and blinding runs from deep for Monaco since they returned to the French top flight just over twelve months ago.

Kurzawa also hit the headlines in controversial fashion recently when he celebrated provocatively towards Swedish striker John Guidetti during a Euro Under 21 play-off tie, only for the Manchester City star to score soon afterwards to eliminate a talented French squad from the tournament.

Despite this, however, his ability is not in question and £12m could represent a bargain deal for United, although it certainly puts the future of teenager Luke Shaw in question just months after he signed for the club for an eye-watering fee from Premier League rivals Southampton.

The 22 year-old has previously been a target for Chelsea, the report suggests, but the Blues opted to sign experienced Brazilian Filipe Luis instead this summer.
