Manchester United have dipped into the American market to bring a well-regarded 17-year-old.
Canada U-18 international Josh Doughty, who has been part of Real Salt Lake’s academy for the last two years, has reportedly signed a contract with English side Manchester United.

United have not yet confirmed the transfer themselves, but an announcement is expected in the coming days.
Internationally, Doughty is eligible to represent Canada (by birth), the US (by residency) or England (by parentage). Although he has already participated in Canadian Youth Football camps, he has not yet confirmed a preferred allegiance.
The youngster was part of the Real Salt Lake youth squad that reached the final of the 2014 Generation Adidas Cup earlier this year.
