Manchester United transfer news
The 26-year-old has been attracting plenty of interest from top clubs this season after some fine performances in the Premier League, and he looks an ideal player to fit into Louis van Gaal’s 3-5-2 formation at Old Trafford.
An attack-minded full-back, Coleman could easily play as a wing-back on United’s right-hand side, and the club are hoping to bring the player in this January.
It was initially expected that United would try for the Republic of Ireland international in the summer, but van Gaal is seemingly ready to bring the move forward to this winter.
United want a replacement for the unconvincing Rafael da Silva, while Antonio Valencia has also had a mixed campaign playing out of position in that role for the Red Devils.
Everton may struggle to keep their best players after a poor run of form in the Premier League this season.
