The couple hit trouble whilst on their honeymoon.
In a showbiz story that is so strange it must be true, newlyweds Sir Ben Ainslie and Georgie Thompson were rescued by Sir Richard Branson when they hit trouble whilst sailing around the billionaire’s Necker Island.

It was somewhat ironic that as a four-time Olympic gold medal winning sailor it was Ainslie that had to be saved as he and his new wife celebrated their honeymoon around the British Virgin Islands.
It was an irony that was not wasted on Branson, who wrote of the rescue mission on his blog.
“Seeing as Ben is one of the greatest sailors of all time. What we didn’t expect to see was his boat getting into trouble!” the 64-year-old wrote.
“With no harm done, Ben was able to see the funny side – after all, stranger things have happened at sea.
“We are now hosting him and Georgie on the island for a few days.”
According to Branson there was a problem with the main sail and former Sky Sports presenter Thompson also spoke of the event on her Twitter account.
