Arsenal fans have been hoping to catch a glimpse of the highly regarded star.

Arsenal fans might have to be patient if they were hoping to see 17 year old Krystian Bielik play at the Emirates any time soon with Arsene Wenger hinting his January signing may not play until next season at the earliest.

The Polish youngster arrived at Arsenal for around £2.4 million from Legia Warsaw and whilst the Gunners continue to look short in midfield – a problem the 6ft 3in teenager could easily solve – Wenger has seemingly ruled out his inclusion in the first team squad.

“Krystian Bielik is building up his fitness. The first signs we have seen are very positive,” said Wenger to the Arsenal match day programme, reports TalkSport.

“He’s a very strong player, he’s 17, he has a very good technical level and looks intelligent. But we’ll have to give him a little time to settle and adapt.

“I like to take players of that age mid-season because it gives them a cushion of four or five months to settle, adapt and then be ready for the following season.”

Arsenal’s other summer signing, Gabriel, is also yet to make his debut for the Gunners but could be in line for a sensational first game with the North London Derby fast approaching this weekend.

The £11.2 million signing form Villarreal was on the bench during Arsenal’s 5-0 demolition of Aston Villa and whilst Wenger has been quick to praise the Brazilian he has yet to afford him any opportunities with which to play.
