Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain gave his side the lead at Wolfsburg in the Europa League quarter-final, first leg but the Argentina international appeared to handle the ball before hammering home.

It was the perfect start to the game for the Italians, managed by under-pressure ex-Liverpool and Chelsea man Rafael Benitez, who had seen his side lose four consecutive away matches in all competitions prior to tonight’s fixture in Germany.
