Old Trafford side ready to spend big this summer.
Man United have reportedly agreed a deal to sign Borussia Dortmund star Ilkay Gundogan according to the Metro.
Louis van Gaal will apparently look to spend a £150m transfer war-chest and will begin the spree with the capture of impressive German international Gundogan.
The 24 year old will set the Old Trafford side back £21.5m and will handily strengthen the club’s midfield, with the Westfalenstadion man being able to provide a solid defensively minded presence in the centre of the park whilst also offering Man United a quality distributor of the ball.
Gundogan has suffered with injury concerns in recent seasons but has been a regular in the Borussia Dortmund first-team set-up this term.
The imminent departure of Jurgen Klopp appears to be the catalyst for an apparently likely move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder.
Van Gaal has seen Marouane Fellaini and Daley Blind, two players who have played in central midfield slots, arguably being more effective in attacking midfield and left-back roles respectively which may be the motivation for a move for Gundogan.
