Arsenal have been handed a huge boost in the pursuit of AS Monaco defender Aymen Abdennour in this summer’s transfer window, according to reports in France.
The Gunners are keeping an eye on the Tunisian international’s situation, with Monaco expected to sell some of their biggest names this summer, according to the Metro.
Liverpool are also admirers of the rock-solid centre-back, who would no doubt be a useful buy for either club as they look to close the gap on Premier League champions Chelsea next season.
Abdennour himself has been quoted as saying he’d be open to a move away this summer as he looks for a new challenge at a bigger club.
