Stamford Bridge side chase Chilean international.

Chelsea are tracking Chilean midfielder Charles Aranguiz following his superb showing at the recent Copa America finals according to the Daily Mail.

As well as being a Blues target the Daily Mail claim the 26-year-old is also being monitored by Premier League sides Manchester City and Arsenal as well as Ligue 1 side Marseille and Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.

Aranguiz played a pivotal role in Chile’s triumphant Copa America success this summer, netting twice in their 5-0 win over Bolivia, playing in all his nation’s matches at the finals.

The versatile midfielder can play on either flank or in a central role though is yet to garner any experience of football in Europe.

Aranguiz will have seen the success his fellow countryman Alexis Sanchez has enjoyed since his move to the Premier League, the former Barcelona man enjoying a superb debut season at Arsenal, and Internacional will hold back on talks on his future until after the club’s Copa Libertadores campaign according to the Daily Mail.

Chelsea have signed two South Americans already this summer with Jose Mourinho completing the capture of Brazilian youngster Nathan and has brought in AS Monaco forward Radamel Falcao on a loan deal.

Mourinho’s side eased to a Premier League triumph in 2015/16 though failed to make much progress on the Champions League front.
