Done deal: Arsenal BEAT Manchester United to signing of Benfica star

Gunners complete surprise deal for United target.

Arsenal look to have beaten Manchester Untied to the signing of Benfica teenager Joao Virginia, according to claims in the Metro.

The 15-year-old shot-stopper is considered a top talent and great prospect for the future, and sources in Portugal suggest he has left the club for a move to the Emirates Stadium on a four-year deal.

Arsenal are known for their superb scouting around the globe and for their fondness in signing top class young players, and this move looks like continuing that tradition.

United were also after Virginia this summer, but seem to have missed out, though reports elsewhere suggest the Red Devils could make a big-name signing in goal in the form of Ajax star Jasper Cillessen.
