Liverpool eyeing £6.6m deal for Swedish international midfielder

Liverpool are believed to be weighing up a £6.6million move for Red Bull Leipzig midfielder Emil Forsberg, according to reports in German publication Bild.

The left-winger has been instrumental in Red Bull’s push for promotion from the second tier this season, bagging an impressive five goals in 17 appearances from wide positions.

And having been voted the best player in the Bundesliga II, Bild are claiming that he will be available for as little as just £6.6million.

However, Liverpool may face some serious competition for his signature, as the likes of Leicester City, Roma, Valencia, and Inter Milan are all tracking his progress, too. Though the Reds may hold an advantage in the race as they are the player’s favourite club.

Manager Jurgen Klopp will likely already be aware of what he can offer due to his own time managing in Germany and could look to make a move for him this month in order to put his overhaul of the squad into practice.
