Dortmund want Arda Turan to replace Man Utd signing

Borussia Dortmund have made an enquiry for Barcelona winger Arda Turan according to the Express.

The Bundesliga outfit are reported to be looking to replace Manchester United bound Mkhitaryan who signed for the Red Devils yesterday.

United signed the Armenian international from Borussia Dortmund on a four-year contract – their third transfer of the summer.

The 27-year-old attacking midfielder was voted Bundesliga Player of the Year last season and Dortmund are reported to be keen on replacing him.

The Turkish international signed for Barcelona from Atletico Madrid on a five-year deal last summer did only sign for Barcelona last summer on a big money five-year deal but missed the first-half of the season due to the FIFA transfer ban imposed on the club.

Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu did however, reveal that he was happy with the midfielder’s first season at the club according to AS.

The club president said: “The coaching staff count on Arda Turan and we thank both him and Aleix [Vidal] for the patience they showed to go six months without being able to play. As for the sporting section, I’d give them a nine out of 10 because four trophies in one season isn’t bad at all”.

Turan would play in the Bundesliga for the first time in his career if he were to make the move this summer.
