Both Liverpool and Arsenal are on red alert following news that Real Madrid are prepared offload Jese Rodriguez this summer according to the Express.

The report states that Rodriguez has fallen down the pecking order at Zinedine Zidane’s Real Madrid and that the French manager has deemed Jese as surplus to requirements.

Jese faces competition from the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, Karim Benzema and Alvaro Morata for a place in the starting lineup. Meanwhile the Spainish outlet Marca state that Zidane has instructed Jese to look elsewhere  if he wants more first team football.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is on the hunt for another striker to provide competition for Olivier Giroud after failing to land Gonzalo Higuain and Jamie Vardy this summer.

The Express also states that Arsenal had a £29 million bid turned down by the Ligue 1 giants Lyon for striker Alexandre Lacazette yesterday.

Jese scored eight goals and provided six assists 38 games in all competitions for Real Madrid last season.
