Musa scores brace for Leicester against Barcelona

Ahmed Musa scored a brace for Premier League champions Leicester City against Barcelona, as they lost 2-4 against the La Liga Champions in the International Champions Cup in Stockholm on Wednesday.

Musa made his second appearance for the Foxes since his unofficial derby last week and put on yet another impressive display finding the back of the net twice against the European giants.

Munir El Haddadi gave Barca an early lead before former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez scored on 34 minutes. Munir doubled his tally just before the half time break to give the Spanish side a convincing 3-0 lead going into the interval.

Leicester came out of the blocks firing in the second half following Musa’s introduction. The Nigerian international scored soon after the break before reducing Barca’s lead to just one goal soon after.

Seventeen-year-old Rafa Mujica ended any hopes of a comeback when he scored six minutes before the final whistle.

It was Musa however, who stole the headlines with his second half performance. Foxes fan and Match of the Day presenter Gary Lineker was very impressed with the young forward’s display.

Lineker was blown away by Musa’s pace and feels Leicester may just have the quickest pair of strikers since, well since the history of football began.
