Tottenham will get derby ‘spanking’ by Arsenal, says Gary Lineker

BT Sport presenter Gary Lineker has said that Tottenham will be on the end of a heavy defeat unless they drastically improve.

Tottenham were disappointing at Wembley yesterday evening during their 1-0 defeat at the hands of the Bundesliga giants Bayer Leverkusen in the UEFA Champions League. Slovenia international Kevin Kampl scored the games only goal as Tottenham’s winless run stretched to six games.

The defeat leaves Tottenham in third place with four points after four games, meaning a defeat to Monaco could eliminate them from the competition.

The former Tottenham legend Lineker sent out a warning ahead of Sunday’s clash with their biter rivals Arsenal.

“If they play like that in the north London derby they will get a good spanking,” Lineker said live on BT Sports.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men could also be left six points off top spot if they succumb to a defeat this weekend.

Arsenal come into the game in stunning form following their 3-2 win over Ludogorets in the Champions League on Tuesday evening. The Gunners are unbeaten in their last 12 games.
