Real Betis are reportedly confident of persuading Jack Wilshere to leave Arsenal and join them on a free transfer after contacting him about a move for next season.
According to the Sun, Betis believe they’re close to getting the deal over the line, with Wilshere nearing the end of his £90,000-a-week current contract with Arsenal.
The Sun add that Wilshere, 25, is open to moving to Spain, in what could be another major blow for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger next summer.

The Gunners already have Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil heading towards the end of their contracts, with both stars possibly set to join rivals in Manchester City and Manchester United, respectively.
The Daily Mirror claim City will swoop to sign Sanchez on a free, while another report from the Mirror claims United are interested in Ozil, though there may be more hope of keeping the German in north London.

While Wilshere has not been a regular for Arsenal in recent years, he’s shown flashes of brilliance this season to suggest he could be a useful squad player at the very least, if not a solid replacement for Ozil himself.
The England international had a decent loan spell at Bournemouth last season and has so far had better luck with injuries upon his return to the Emirates Stadium.
Still, his lack of guaranteed playing time will likely affect his thinking on his future and Arsenal seem to be losing the battle to hold on to him at the moment.
