Liverpool are reportedly looking to beat Spanish giants Barcelona and Real Madrid to the signing of PSG and France midfielder Adrien Rabiot.

According to Don Balon, the Reds have already made an offer to Rabiot to bring him to the club next summer, and that the deal, should he sign it, would see him boost his wages by a fair bit.

The report also notes that both Barca and Real are keen on securing the player’s signature, however if this story is anything to go by, it seems as if Reds are the club who have made the first move in the race to land the midfielder.

Liverpool have made an offer to Rabiot in order to bring him to Anfield next summer

Despite having signed stars like Fabinho and Naby Keita already this summer, Liverpool managing to bring in Rabiot would be a huge coup and a great signing for the Premier League side.

The French international’s deal runs out next summer as per the report from Don Balon, meaning that the Reds would be getting one of France’s most talented midfield stars for absolutely nothing.

Although PSG’s side is overflowing with talent, Rabiot has still managed to command a place in the club’s starting XI these past few years, something that speaks volumes about the player’s quality.

It’ll be interesting to see if either Barca or Real up their pursuit of Rabiot after this news of Liverpool making a formal offer to the player being revealed.
