Marcus Rashford eclipses Ryan Giggs with latest Manchester United goal against Leicester

Manchester United starlet Marcus Rashford has scored his 26th Premier League goal in just 100 games, eclipsing the record of Red Devils legend Ryan Giggs.

According to this tweet below from the Sportsman, Rashford is now ahead of other United heroes such as Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo as well with this terrific start to his top flight career.

The England international opened the scoring away to Leicester City this afternoon, continuing a real hot streak under interim manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Despite also showing flashes of quality under Louis van Gaal and Jose Mourinho, it feels like we’re seeing the real Rashford now as he gets more opportunities to play in his preferred centre-forward role.

A pacey, skilful forward and clinical finisher in one-on-one situations, the 21-year-old truly is a special talent, as this surprise stat really illustrates.

Giggs, Rooney and Ronaldo were all also considered real wonderkids in their day, so to get more goals than any of them managed in his first 100 Premier League matches is some feat.
