Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have both reportedly been charged after some incidents involving both sets of fans last night.

The two teams met in the Champions League at Old Trafford, with visitors PSG running out 2-0 winners on the night.

Some bad behaviour from supporters of both clubs marred the evening, however, as the Guardian report of Uefa charging both clubs over a number of incidents.

Notably, a bottle was thrown at PSG star Angel Di Maria, a former United player, as noted in the Guardian’s report.

They add that fans blocked stairways and set off flairs inside the ground.

United and PSG may now be handed fines later this month for what looks a failure to control their fans.

The Ligue 1 giants perhaps won’t be too bothered after picking up such an impressive and important away win, but it’s more bad news for Man Utd after this big setback – their first defeat under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and one that leaves them needing to score at least three at the Parc des Princes in the second leg to progress to the quarter-finals.
