Michael Laudrup is keen to hold on to Swansea’s best players this summer according to The Daily Mail.

The price of Swansea’s success this season, which has seen them lift the Capital One Cup and enter the last stretch of the season in the top half of the Premier League, is the speculation that has arisen linking a number of clubs with the side’s best players.

Club captain Ashley Williams has been linked with the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool while speculation persists suggesting Manchester United could make a bid for goalkeeper Michel Vorm.

The form of the club’s Spanish striker Michu has also prompted reports the player could be subject to a summer bid.

But Laudrup believes his display of commitment to the club could persuade those players to continue with the project he is building at the Liberty Stadium.

The Danish manager recently signed a new contract with the club, putting to an end speculation linking him with the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Laudrup has issued a hands off warning to any clubs considering making a bid for the club’s players as he looks to build a team capable of competing in the Europa League.

‘I know players here who have renewed and extended their contracts may not stay five years if they have signed that long, but they will at least stay next year. That’s what I hope’, said Laudrup.

‘You never know but I don’t think we will lose that many players. You never know, it may be one or something like that.

‘But other clubs also have to remember they are under contract so we will never allow three, four or five to all go.’
