Stoke City are sizing up a £5m bid for in-form Danish forward Andreas Cornelius according to the Sunday Express.

The Potters are just one of a number of sides scouting the 20 year old FC Copenhagen striker, who has netted 18 goals for his hometown club thus far this term, with Tony Pulis seeing the youngster as a like for like replacement for lanky marksman Peter Crouch.

This source believes the 32 year old is unhappy at the Britannia Stadium and a move to re-join Harry Redknapp at QPR is apparently a possibility.

Cornelius is also being tracked by Everton and the 6ft 4in forward would no doubt jump at the chance of a move to the Premier League this summer.

Stoke City have struggled for goals this term, managing just 27 in 31 Premier League matches, only QPR have managed less.

Peter Crouch initially impressed following his £10m move to Stoke City but his overall record of 20 goals from 72 appearances suggests that such an outlay may well have not paid off.
