After a season in the Premier League in 2010/11, and a playoff final the following year, Blackpool will be disappointed only to have finished 15th in the Championship last year, though they were understandably hit by Ian Holloway’s departure to Crystal Palace.
Their priority this summer will be to keep hold of in-demand youngster Tom Ince, as he could help guide them to a playoff place once again.
They open their season away to newly-promoted Doncaster, and will hope to make a good start in following games against Barnsley and Middlesbrough, before meeting newly-relegated Reading, who won the Championship in 2011/12.
They will face some tricky encounters towards the end of the season, and much of their future will rest on their final three games against Brighton, Wigan and Charlton.
