The midfielder has been around so long that the fact he has yet to challenge for the first team could be a cause for concern.
A succession of injuries during his first years in north London have seen his development stutter, but now he is relishing his role with the Bees and is showing what a classy player he could become if given the chance.
Just look at Hector Bellerin, the lesser touted name when both arrived from Catalonia in 2011 – he’s now almost a regular in the Arsenal first team.
You’d expect Toral will get an opportunity to prove himself in pre-season next term, but for now we can just enjoy his classy displays for Brentford.
