Blackpool midfielder Angel Martinez is back in the UK after a winter break in his home country of Spain, and seemed rather excited by the prospect of a shopping trip at his local Tesco thanks to the technology involved.

Martinez was able to use a ‘Scan As You Shop’ portable barcode reader as he went up and down the aisles, and uploaded the below image to Twitter, in which he labelled the device a ‘Star Wars Gun’.

Martinez then appeared astonished that he had managed to get good signal in what is basically a metal warehouse, and praised the gods for the supermarket’s internet access for customers.

He ended his exciting day by stating his delight at his newly washed car.
