Man United have reportedly been alerted by comments made by Chelsea star Eden Hazard in relation to Jose Mourinho’s tactical approach with the Manchester Evening News claiming that the Old Trafford side are interested in the Belgian.

Following the Blues defeat to Atletico Madrid earlier this week the 23 year old stated his irritation with the way he has been used by Mourinho this season, stating;

“Chelsea aren’t set up to play football,”

“Chelsea are set up to counter-attack.”

“We failed to make the difference in the second half. Often, I’m asked to do it all by myself and it’s not easy. It was a complicated game. It will be a lesson for us regarding next year.”

Man United raided the Stamford Bridge side to bring in Juan Mata in a club record deal in January and a successful move for Hazard would need the Old Trafford side to fork out a fee in excess of the £37m they paid for the Spaniard.

With David Moyes having been axed and Dutch national team coach Louis van Gaal said to be set to takeover and massive funds being made available for a summer squad overhaul there would be funds for such a move but Mourinho is unlikely to sell another of his top talents to a domestic rival.

Hazard has proven a big success since moving to west London back in June 2012, scoring 30 goals and providing 29 assists in 109 appearances.
