Check in to Aston Villa vs Hull City

Hull City’s ongoing pursuit of Blackburn Rovers ace Jordan Rhodes appears to be nearing completion with the Daily Mail claiming that Scottish international will demand an Ewood Park exit so as to push a move through.

KC Stadium boss Steve Bruce has been tracking the 24 year old for some time and is ready to use funds accrued from the sale of Shane Long to Southampton to land the Championship goal machine.

Rhodes has been in excellent form since leaving Ipswich Town for Huddesfield Town, notching up 87 goal in 148 games for the Terries before moving to Blackburn Rovers in August 2012 in an £8m transfer.

Blackburn Rovers have confirmed failed bids for Rhodes this summer but may be ready to consider a sale of their prized asset.

Hull City struggled for goals last term but have started the current campaign well with four points from their opening two Premier League fixtures.

Rhodes may well adapt well to life in the Premier League and has been virtually unstoppable in recent seasons, netting 53 goals in 91 Championship starts for Blackburn Rovers.
