A-League: Melbourne Victory Star Besart Berisha Prepared To Face Old Side Brisbane Roar For The First Time

Berisha says he is looking forward to facing the club he won two A-League titles with.

Melbourne Victory attacker Besart Berisha says he isn’t sure if he will celebrate if he scores against former side Brisbane Roar on Friday.

However, this season’s top scorer says he is looking forward to scoring against his old mates.

“If I score, it will be good,” he said.

“This is the first thing – but I will see (about the celebrations), it all depends.”

Asked if he expected any stick from Brisbane supporters, Berisha said Victory’s vocal home support would drown out any messages from the away fans.

“I think we have a lot of our supporters here so I don’t think I will be able to hear that,” Berisha said.

“But in football that is the way, if you hurt the other team, always you get booed.”

Berisha says he doesn’t expect any of his old teammates to do him any favours when they meet on Friday.

“For me, I have a lot of friends there but this game is very important for Melbourne Victory and of course I need to be professional and focus on my team and our game plan, but after the game I hope to speak to them,” Berisha said.
