Manchester United have scored the crucial opening goal at the Emirates Stadium this evening after Arsenal left back Kieran Gibbs deflected the ball into his own net following a comedy of errors at the back. Gibbs collided with goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny as a harmless ball was floated into the box, with the ball then breaking to Antonio Valencia – whose low effort was deflected into the far corner by Gibbs. Was it the goalkeeper or left back who was at fault for the mess that led to the goal?
