In what is undoubtedly one of the matches of the round, the two unbeaten sides will clash in front of a packed-out AAMI Park on Friday.
Melbourne Victory weren’t at their best last week, but still managed a 1-0 win over the Brisbane Roar at Etihad Stadium.
Adelaide come into the clash off the back of a comfortable 2-0 triumph over Central Coast thanks to two quickfire goals from Spanish import Pablo Sanchez.
The Melbourne-Adelaide clash is perhaps the most fiery of all and has produced some absolute classics, and you get the feeling that this one will be no different.
Neither will want to drop their first game of the season, but its unlikely either will drop their attacking philosophies.
