Wilfried Zaha seeking a permanent exit away from Old Trafford…

Wilfried Zaha sealed a £10m move to Manchester United from Crystal Palace on a five-and-a-half-year contract in January 2013, but failed to cement a first-team position at the club, resulting in him being sent to Crystal Palace on loan this season.

The 22-year-old has expressed his delight at returning to the Eagles and is delighted to be playing regular football again, saying that it would be “great” to remain at the club permanently:

“Coming back to Palace would be great but that’s in the future, so I’ll decide then,” as quoted by the Daily Star.

Zaha was once touted as one of the most promising youngsters in the country, but while peers such as Raheem Sterling and Ross Barkley have gone on to become international regulars, his career has stagnated.

The English winger’s future could very well be away from Old Trafford, especially with a number of world-class stars to compete for places with, and at his age regular football is crucial for his development.
