Chelsea, Manchester United target will move to a big club soon, predicts club official

Olivier Pickeu, the sporting director of SCO Angers, has backed his midfielder Cheikh N’Doye to make the move to a big club within two years.

Newly promoted Angers have been the surprise package of the Ligue 1 season so far, building on last season’s fine campaign in Ligue 2 to race into contention for a Champions League spot.

Their key man has been midfielder N’Doye, who has seemingly come from nowhere to become one of the division’s most devastating prospects.

Following the winter break, Angers find themselves third in Ligue 1, only one point behind AS Monaco in second, thanks to a series of monstrous performances from N’Doye.

He is the division’s most successful header of the ball—averaging 5.8 per match—and has also demonstrated his magnificent engine and admirable work rate.

It’s enough, according to Le 10 Sport, to prompt interest from Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester United.

Speaking to the French source, Angers’ sporting director Pickeu has backed the midfielder to move to a European giant imminently.

“Can he move to a top European club within two years? I can see him doing so before that!” Pickeu began.

“He has better statistics than [leaders Paris Saint-Germain’s] trio of Thiago Motta-[Blaise] Matuidi-[Marco] Verratti.

“I see no limits for him.”
