Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has stated that he can get Anthony Martial back into form, according to The Sun.
The France international made a terrific start to his United career under Louis van Gaal last term but cooled off towards the end of the season. Martial was in fact United’s top scorer last season with 17 goals but has only managed to find the back of the net once, since the appointment of Mourinho.
Martial has started on the bench for all of United’s games this season but came on to score during United’s 1-1 draw with Stock City over the weekend.
Per-the-source, following the game Mourinho heaped praise on Martial by saying, “He needs that. It was an amazing goal. So it was good for him.”
Martial joined Manchester United from Monaco for £36 million according to SkySports. The 20-year-old also featured for the France national team over the summer during their Euro 2016 campaign.
Manchester United take on their rivals Liverpool in their next Premier league fixture on October 17.
