Ilkay Gundogan has taken to twitter to celebrate Manchester City’s victory over Arsenal today.
City defeated Arsenal by two goals to one at the Etihad, but Gundogan missed out through injury. The German damaged his knee ligaments during City’s victory over Watford midweek, an injury that could rule him out for the rest of the season.
In tribute to Gundogan, the City players wore his shirt as they walked out for today’s game. He reassured the City faithful that he is alive and well after his teammates tribute.
Thanks to my teammates ??? & of course – congrats to my boys to this crucial win against #AFC? PS: Don’t worry – I’m still alive ? #MCIARS pic.twitter.com/det9q7C8Wp
