AS Roma are in a really healthy position in the Italian Serie A table and are certain to do their best to chase Inter Milan to the wire for the scudetto. This season they have added depth to their squad with a number of summer signings but the Romans are eager to add even more depth.
Goal.com reports that Roma are massively inclined to sign Deportivo La Coruna’s Argentine international defender Fabricio Coloccini this month and are about to lodge an official confirmation of their interest this week. Deportivo are struggling near the foot of the table in La Liga and survival in top flight football is firmly their only agenda. Coloccini is Depor’s main pillar in defense and the Galician club are obviously reluctant to part with the defender this month.
Yet a chance to play for Roma, compete for the Serie A and the UEFA Champions League could just lure Coloccini to the Olimpic Stadium in Rome. Should that happen, then Depor are to suffer massively.
