Arsenal boss sanctions move for Deportivo star Lucas Perez

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly sanctioned a move to sign highly-rated Deportivo La Coruna winger Lucas Perez, according to Spanish publication El Ideal Gallego.

The 27-year-old has been in terrific form for the Galician club this season, notching an impressive 10 goals in 14 appearances, as well as bagging goals in both of his starts in the Europa League.

The report claims that Gunners scouts were in attendance to watch the Spaniard score against Sevilla on Sunday, and were impressed with what they saw.

Scouts have since sent a series of glowing reports back to manager Arsene Wenger, who has apparently approved a move for the player and will open talks with him imminently.

It is believed that Depor will look to resist any offers that come their way for the player before the end of the season, but should Arsenal make a significant financial offer for him then they could be convinced to change their stance.
