Centre-back Rolando wanted at Loftus Road.
Queen Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp is attempting to bring Porto defender Rolando to Loftus Road this month despite the Portuguese star having rejected the club three times already.
Redknapp is desperate to bring in a centre-back to replace MLS-bound Ryan Nelson but has had no luck so far this month with approaches for West Brom’s Jonas Olsson, Everton Sylvain Distin, Tottenham’s William Gallas and Michael Dawson and Manchester City’s Joleon Lescott all failing to come to fruition.

And after capturing striker Loic Remy from Marseille last week, Redknapp’s focus is back on strengthening his backline and he is hoping to beat off Italian side Napoli to the signature of 27-year-old centre-back Rolando, who has been capped 18 times by Portugal.
The biggest stumbling block will come in the fact that Rolando has already turned down a move to QPR three times, once an approach from former boss Mark Hughes and the other two from Redknapp since he took over.
QPR defender Anton Ferdinand, meanwhile, is a transfer target of Turkish side Bursaspor, according to the Daily Mail. The 27-year-old has been forced to play a bit-part role since the arrival of Redknapp, but is still wanted by the QPR boss.
