Old Trafford keeper would jump at the chance of a Nou Camp switch.
Man United keeper David de Gea is keen on a move to Barcelona according to the Daily Star.
The Spanish keeper’s girlfriend, Edurne Garcia, has publicly stated that De Gea would jump at the chance of a move to the Nou Camp, which comes following Barcelona’s first choice Victor Valdes’s decision to not sign a new contract.
Edurne stated; “David is very happy at Manchester United, but of course he would like to return to Spain and if it’s Barca it gets even better,” she told a Catalan TV channel.
De Gea had shown signs of improvement after initially struggling to adapt to life in the English top tier but has dropped a few clangers in recent weeks, fueling speculation that Sir Alex Ferguson is looking to bring in another keeper.
The likes of Asmir Begovic and Pepe Reina have been mentioned as possible replacements for the former Atletico Madrid keeper.
