Old Trafford side ready to swoop for Chilean winger.
Manchester United are preparing a summer bid for Barcelona’s Alexis Sanchez according to The Express.
The Chilean midfielder has endured a difficult time since arriving at the Nou Camp from Italian side Udinese.
Sanchez has failed to make much of an impact on the Barcelona first team and has been booed by the club’s supports in recent games after a number of profligate misses.
There is a growing feeling in Catalonia that Sanchez is not good enough for Barcelona and he looks set to leave the club come the end of the season.
Despite the negative feeling in Barcelona towards Sanchez, the player remains highly rated in other parts of Europe.
Italian giants Juventus and Inter Milan are thought to be ready to make a move for Sanchez.
Premier League sides Arsenal and Liverpool were also thought to be keen to bring the player to England.
It now appears Manchester United are set to join the race for Sanchez as they look for a replacement for the outbound Nani.
United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is reportedly a long term admirer of the player and is ready to make a move for Sanchez should he be told he can leave the club by Barcelona.
